What I Offer
herbal consultations
I offer a holistic approach to health and healing for women. I believe that outward symptoms are a sign of inward issues, and that warrants a whole body approach. Simply chasing symptoms and attempting to suppress them rarely offers a long-term solution, but addressing the underlying issues allows real healing to happen and allows us to be at our best. Prior to your herbal consultation, I will send you an in-depth intake questionnaire to complete, and then that will guide your appointment with me. Follow-ups can occur as often as needed.
Holistic Fertility Support
As a childbirth educator and birth doula for the past 10 years, I have heard from countless students and clients about their struggle to conceive. And it has broken my heart every single time. Thus, I’ve decided it’s time to combine my master’s degree experience in reproductive physiology coupled with 400 hours of coursework in herbal medicine for women’s health and assisting hundreds of clients in improving their health through hair tissue mineral analysis over the past three years. The holistic fertility support that I offer is unique and individualized to help you maximize your odds of conception.
HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS CONSULTATIONS
Hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) gives us an opportunity to look at what’s going on with your minerals over a period of about 2-3 months. This is advantageous over blood work because it’s more than just a snapshot in time. Your mineral levels alone and in relation to each other can give insight into the underlying cause of your symptoms. I use your HTMA results as the foundation for putting a plan in place for you. Ideally, you will re-test every 3-4 months to track your progress, and so that we can change up your plan as needed.
My Approach to Healing
I use herbs, whole foods, and whole food supplements as the foundation for helping people to heal. I look at the whole picture and work to support the body at a foundational level so that it can do the healing it needs to do. All too often these days, holistic practitioners are quick to put people on one-size-fits-all protocols with the primary goal being to aggressively detox. I’ve seen this strategy fail time and time again as clients have come to me for help. Their bodies are depleted, their bank accounts are empty, and they’re no further ahead than they were before.
My goal for you is to build up your body physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. When that happens, anything is possible.
How do You Know if It’s Right for You?
- You recognize that it’s not as simple as “matching a pill to an ill”, and you’re ready to get your whole body healthy.
- You like the idea of using herbs, whole foods, and whole food supplements as part of your lifestyle.
- You are ready to work with someone who will truly listen to you and offer guidance based not just on lab results but rather based on your symptoms and what you have to say.
Women’s Health Concerns
Fertility Challenges
I get it. The ache of yet another negative pregnancy test. Month after month. Perhaps you haven’t turned anywhere for help yet or maybe you’ve exhausted all your options with infertility treatments through a doctor, and you STILL aren’t pregnant with the baby you’ve been praying so long for. What if there was another way? A way that could help you fall in love with your body again and give it the nourishment and full healing that it needs to be able to conceive. Yes, it will take time, and only God can decide if and when the timing is right to bring you a baby, but I’m here to help you make it possible – God willing!
Pregnancy & Birth
Pregnancy can be such an exciting time, but it can also be a stressful and uncomfortable time. Perhaps this is your first pregnancy, and you have no idea what to expect. Or maybe it’s your fifth, and you’ve got brand new symptoms or a new challenge this time that you’ve never before experienced. I’ve been working with pregnant women and couples for over 10 years as a birth doula and childbirth educator, and now I’ve got the herbal knowledge to go along with it to help you have the most amazing pregnancy and birth possible!
Non-Pregnancy Concerns
Obviously women spend most of their lives NOT pregnant! That leaves a lot of time for other concerns like PMS, irregular menstrual cycles, heavy or painful periods, PCOS, endometriosis, and more to cause uncomfortable or even downright debilitating symptoms. If you’re tired of using over-the-counter medications or perhaps even prescription treatments like birth control to try to manage your symptoms, I’m here to tell you that there is another way. A way that will help you to actually heal your issue(s) and is so much more healthy. Imagine not having to struggle with your symptoms anymore. It IS possible!
I Meet You Where You Are
If you are brand new to this thing we call a “crunchy” lifestyle, that is ok! Seriously, we all have to start somewhere, and I was once in your place. I will walk you through every step of the way toward reaching your health goals. I promise to never make you feel foolish for not knowing something. I WANT you to ask so that you can learn!
On the other hand, maybe you already consider yourself to be at expert level. Great! We’ll jump right in then. The great thing about herbal medicine and using natural ways of healing is that everyone has a little different approach. And sometimes it is those little tweaks or that outside person looking at your situation that can make all the difference. I would love to be that person for you!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it acceptable for christians to use herbs for healing?
Absolutely! When God created the earth and everything on it, he said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.”(Genesis 1:29)
What if I don't specifically have a women's health issue? Can you still help me?
Maybe! One of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is that I cannot be all things to all people, and it is impossible to be an “expert” on everything. That’s why I’ve chosen to specialize in women’s health and focus my continuing education there. However, all health issues rely on underlying good health, which I very likely can help you to improve!
do you take insurance?
No. Because I am not a licensed medical professional, I cannot accept insurance. You MAY be able to use your HSA/FSA account though, depending on your plan.
what if I'm not a christian? can i still work with you?
Yes! It wouldn’t be very Christian of me to exclude you, would it?! Seriously, it’s ok if you don’t consider yourself a Christian. I promise I won’t force my beliefs on you.
are you a licensed medical professional?
No. I cannot diagnose, treat, or cure you of any illness or disease. What I CAN do as a hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) practitioner and herbal educator is to teach you how to improve your health based on your symptoms and the information you share with me.
what if i don't know much about herbs and natural remedies?
That’s what I’m here for! No question is too basic. We ALL start somewhere, and I absolutely love meeting people where they are. I will never judge you for “not knowing enough” just like I hope you won’t ever judge me if I’m not as far along in my faith as you are!

Why I’m Not a Fan of Colloidal Silver
Whether it’s for preventing or treating colds or influenza, used on cuts, scrapes, burns, dropped in eyes for pinkeye and ears for ear infections, colloidal silver is praised as a cure-it-all by many. But not me. I’m a bit of an oddball when it comes to this one. ...
